Simone Santini übernahm mit 17 Jahren das elterliche Weingut in San Gimignano. Schnell entschied er sich für den biologischen Anbau und steckte seine ganze Kraft in in das Projekt, immer bessere Weine zu produzieren. Seine Weine wurden mit jedem Jahr besser, bis er schließlich vom Gambero Rosso, den bekanntesten Weinführer Italiens, entdeckt wurde. Heute ist er einer der gesuchtesten Erzeuger für hochwertige Vernaccias und seine Chiantis sind kleine Kunststücke, die einem wirklich begeistern. Er beweist damit, dass diese Rebsorte absolut geeignet ist für das Klima von San Gimignano!

Der Vernaccia di San Gimignano ist ein feiner Begleiter von Antipasti und ein großartiger Aperitif mit Noten von Apfel, Mandel und Blüten. Die Säure ist erfrischend aber weich und gut eingebunden. Einfach ein sehr schöner Wein!
