Das Gemeinschaftsprojekt Cara Nord ging 2012 mit Tomàs Cusiné, Xavier Cepero und Eric Solomon an den Start. Sie waren schon seit Jahren von der Nordseite der Sierra de Prades und ihrem einzigartigen Mikroklima fasziniert. So fanden sie auf 800m Höhe geeignete Weinberge, die es ihnen ermöglichten "vinos de altitud" (sog. "Höhenweine") anzubauen.

Der Cara Nord Negre ist das charmante Ergebnis dieses Experiments. Die Cuvée aus Garnacha, Syrah und Garrut (Monastrell), die 6 Monate in französischem Barrique reift, besitzt die Kraft und Dichte der Weine aus Katalonien und die feine und polierte Art der kühleren Weinberge oder Regionen. Die Nase ist voller dunkler Früchte. Mineralische, fast salzige Geschmäcker kommen durch und auch balsamische Nuancen. Der Wein ist reichhaltig und zart zugleich mit einem sehr feinen Abgang.
